Poetry Winner during book week

We have a proud winner from Room 20 who took part in the poetry contest held during the book week. She was presented with a book by Miss Reid.  Here's thrilled Lanijane!!!!

Art Room: Rangoli Designs

As part of our festivals and celebrations unit, we are studying about Diwali. During Diwali, the Hindus decorate their frontage with colourful rangoli designs to welcome goddess Laxmi.   Have a look at some photos of us in the artroom. We used pastels.

Basketball skills by Counties Manukau Coaches

The Year 5's are very fortunate to be part of the basketball coaching programme. Skilled coaches from Counties Manukau Sports will be coaching us for the next five weeks. The coaching will be held on every Thursday.

Te Reo Lessons with Miss Lelei

Every Tuesday from 9.00- 9.30, Room 20 is fortunate to have Miss Lelei coming in to teach Teo Reo to all of us. We really enjoy this session with Miss Lelei.

WELCOME TO TERM 4 2014

This term is going to be another busy one.  We are fortunate to have a student teacher in our class for the first five weeks.   We will have athletics prelims in week 2, Tuesday and athletics in week 3, Tuesday.  

These are the following topics we are going to do this term:

Weeks 1-6: Festivals and Celebrations
Weeks 7-10: Road Safety

The value for this term is Responsibility.  We will learn ways in which we can be responsible at school and at home.
